Ten Top Green Cars

The Green-Car-Guide.com has posted its top ten green cars. And the top green car was...? No it wasn't the Toyota Prius. Close, but rated second. It's stats ,though ,are impressive:

The five-door Prius hatchback uses battery power to back-up a 1.5-litre petrol engine and it emits just 104 g/km of CO2, which is amongst the lowest of any production car on sale.

The Prius is silently propelled at urban speeds, the battery being recharged during braking and coasting. The car seamlessly  switches petrol and electric power as driving circumstances require.

The Prius hybrid is universally regarded as the most environmentally-friendly production car.
